Born a “Baby Boomer” in 1956, like many I had the privilege of growing up in a very diverse age of musical transitions. Through actual period and nostalgic turnaround I was exposed to everything from Big Band music, Country, Pop and Rock and transitions in between. During my childhood I was exposed to Big Band sounds such as Glen Miller, London Symphony, Lawrence Welk being that of my loving parents were avid fans. As I grew a little older I quickly honed in on the popular music of the day from Folk, Rock & Country, which passions led me pick up guitar at 14 year of age and later piano and keyboard arrangers. I have played professionally for over 30 years focusing mainly on senior accommodating venues within the last 10 years or so. I also book private parties. To the present day I still gravitate to different genres of music. Thus the name “Shades of Song”!
